Hello all interested parties. I thought I would let you know that our Area 50 just finished an inventory which was voted on in NYC by our Delegate to the General Service Conference, Denise M. of the Gatehouse Group.

For the longest time I was reluctant to move into a broader level of AA service, and thought contributing was an impossibility.

Anyway, the contributions that I hope to make now are varied, using the time afforded to me.

With encouragement from home group members and a community of friends in the Fellowship, I hope to engage in services to District 5, as a GSR to the Twin Cities group of North Tonawanda.

So, this GSR or General Service Representative stuff never seemed a possibility in my early years of AA because I was not learned enough to understand the language and procedures of this level of AA service.

Fortunately now, I have a support group of learned friends in AA who have been able to help me understand some of the technical language and service structures beyond just my AA home group.

I intend to blog my thoughts here, and maybe even share some experiences strengths, and hope with whomever might read this far.

When I was first approached by the District Committee Member to help work on this website, my first thought was to do the Google Map. Google Maps made creating a decent customized map very easy. The idea for this came through the website creator for District 4.

After a long period without business meetings, my home group has arranged one this coming Friday. I hope to get others involved in this valuable and rewarding work.

Mark M. GSR-Twin Cities
